Moralla Road

The Moralla Residence provides a generously sized contemporary residence for a family consolidating their current land holdings by utilising an adjacent vacant smaller portion of land adjacent to their long-standing primary family home in Kooyong.

The design challenge was to maintain all of the amenity of the current 5 bedroom family dwelling into a more space efficient new dwelling, on a considerably smaller urban infill site.

The solution resulted in a home over 3 levels, with basement car parking, home theatre and cellar, with living, home office and social spaces at ground floor leading out to a rear north facing terrace and pool area.  The more private areas including bedrooms and retreats are positioned at first floor level.

 The dwelling is largely concealed from street view, uncovered by a meandering driveway/walkway beyond the discreet Moralla Street frontage – offering the owners privacy and security.
