INTERIOR COMMERCIAL RESIDENTIAL JOURNAL PROFILE CONTACT
ALEXANDER CRESCENT, POINT LONSDALE Located within the coastal “old township” of Point Lonsdale which is characterised by largely timber clad homes set within the Tee Trees, the new residence provides a modern sculpted form wrapping down the sloping site. The 3 level residence seeks to disguise its height, through gently carving the garage to a semi concealed under croft space and adding the second floor bedrooms behind a timber blade screen which extends the length of the building. The screen steps down with the sites contours and filters the natural light to all rooms, whilst shading from the northern sun. The curved form wraps around a central courtyard/open space linked directly to the living, dining and kitchen areas. Sliding large panel glass doors allow the house to open up, offering a private and protected external entertaining area. The house is designed to transform from a simple weekend escape for the owners to easily accommodate the extended family.
